With 12,142 visitors attending The Golf Show, NEC Birmingham, Nov 16-18, exhibitors were delighted with their experience of the show. Here's what some of them said.
“It’s been great for the BBC to be here, I didn’t realise there would be so many people, it’s been a constant flow.”
Farah Mehmood – BBC West Midlands.
“The show has been fantastic for the brand. We’ve had some great feedback and the personalisation of wedges has been massively successful. It’s been great having the van here, people just love having the tour experience. The sales side of things has been great and figures have increased significantly compared to the last show organised at the NEC.”
Ben Davies – Cleveland
“The show’s been brilliant, we built 50 metal woods in our truck yesterday alone and have made 20 sets of irons at the show – that’s a lot more than we anticipated. Lots of people have been buying and there haven’t been many timewasters, we’ll definitely be back next year.”
Moray Anderson – TaylorMade
“Fabulous show. I am still recovering it was so busy and exhausting. Every exhibitor and customer I spoke with had positive comments.
You have a great team of people, very approachable and committed to making things happen. I wish I had the time to walk the show, but we never stopped working, drawing huge crowds”
Martin Baker – Wii Big Party Ltd
“The golf show has been really good for The Belfry. Those who have been teaching have been really busy; non-stop from the moment the doors opened, right the way through. Everybody seems to have really enjoyed everything that’s been on offer for them. I now hope the show goes from strength to strength. Once word gets out from the exhibitors I imagine it will become a much bigger show. I can’t think for one minute why people wouldn’t want to come back year after year.”
Gary Alliss – Head Teaching Professional – The Belfry
“It’s been a phenomenal show, there’s been a mix of all abilities which has been great for us. The numbers through the simulator has been more than 500 a day which is better than I expected. We’ve given out more than 3,000 £5 discount vouchers for our simulators and we’ve actually had people leave the show and go to straight to Living Golf to redeem them which is brilliant and hopefully we’ll be back next year. ”
Ivan Gayler – Living Golf
“We’ve enjoyed it, it’s been the best sales of any show we’ve done.”
Powerbug – Hannah Hunt
“It’s been brilliant, excellent, the best golf show I’ve been to. There’s a good atmosphere and the level of attendance and clientele has been the best at any show I’ve ever been to. ”
EZ-Teezy – Ewan Davidson
“It’s been great for brand awareness, the demographic has varied a lot and there have been some really keen golfers massively interested in our range and we’ve had a lot of good interest from women. We’ve done some big sales and it’s been a really nice environment to speak to customers. It’s set up very well, much better than the show we attended here last year.”
Phil Pearce – Canterbury of New Zealand
“I’ve loved it, the response has been good, we’ve had lots of interest and sold a trolley to Lee Sharpe. ”
Stewart Golf – Mark Stewart
“We’ve been busy and had a good response overall. People have been easy to talk to and interested in what’s going on at our hotel.”
Patshull Park – Melanie Jenks
“Sales have been extremely good and the show has been very beneficial. Sales have been far above what we anticipated. It’s been good for building on our existing customer base as well as gaining new customers. It was a good brand building exercise.”
Bite – Dean Stockwell
“We’ve had a ball! We came here to launch our website and the interest has been great and we’re certainly looking forward to the London Golf Show.”
VIP Golf Tours Ltd – Geoff Willett
“The show’s been very successful and enjoyable. We’ve had an excellent response, the putting green we supplied has been a fantastic success.”
European Golf Ltd – David Lowe
“It’s been tiring but we’ve had a very good response and been very busy. Sales have been great – miles better than the show here last year. It’s one of the busiest shows we have done, we’ve been to Florida, Loch Lomond, the British Masters at the Belfry and this has been the busiest one.”
Asbri Golf – Paul Williams
